Come and be encouraged by persecuted believers' testimonies of courage and faith, hear how God is working in restricted and hostile nations, and learn how we can be a part of advancing His kingdom. The conference will be held from 9 am to 4 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 5100 Hummingbird Rd., Wausau. Doors will open at 8 am for registration, access to a resource center and prayer. Lunch will be on your own from 12 pm to 1:15 pm. There is no cost to attend but an offering will be received.
The conference will feature the following speakers:
- "Brother Benny" is chief executive pastor of Alpha Ministries, Inc. and serves at the president of IMPACT Leadership Development at Alpha Bible Churches of India. Their objective is to train 100,000 leaders to plant 100,000 churches by 2020.
- Sarah Liu lived out her Christian faith in her homeland of China. Her faithfulness ultimately led to her arrest, torture and six-year imprisonment. Reflecting on what she went through during that time, she said, "I thought of Christ being beaten on the way to the cross. He suffered for me and in a small way I shared in that suffering for Him. It gave me courage to survive my time in prison."
- "Brother John" is part of God's great work in bringing Arab people to a true, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in war-torn Syria.
- Dr. Jason Peters serves as Chief of Connection for the Voice of the Martyrs (VOM). He travels frequently to meet face-to-face with persecuted believers around the world and equips VOM to tell their stories. Dr. Peters leads VOM's outreach initiatives, including media development, special events, public relations, and oversees hundreds of speakers and representatives.
